Sustainable Residential Landscape

At Margie Ruddick Landscape, the boutique landscape design office where I started my career, I put into practice my aspirations to create positive, sustainable change through design. I learned about reading landscapes, thinking spatially, and designing for the ecologies of a place. This map, which I created for a residence in upstate New York, identifies six sustainable landscape approaches to be used on site, and marks an early effort to think visually about resilient places.
